As a Fall/Spring Camp Assistant Program Coordinator at Discover Fun Camp, you will support the Program Coordinator in designing, implementing, and managing a wide range of activities and programs that promote the holistic development of each child. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of camp activities and enhancing the overall camp experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Development and Implementation:
  • Assist in the planning and organization of camp activities across various clubs, including sports, horticulture, music, arts, STEM, cooking, and more.
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to create a balanced and engaging camp schedule that meets the diverse interests and needs of the campers.
  • Help prepare and distribute materials and equipment necessary for activities.
• Staff Support and Supervision:
  • Provide guidance and support to camp employees and volunteers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist in conducting training sessions for staff to ensure high-quality program delivery and adherence to safety protocols.

You will play a vital role in the daily operations of the camp by providing reliable and friendly service, ensuring that each child’s journey is a positive start and end to their camp experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Transportation:
  • Safely transport campers to and from various camp locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the van to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly van environment.
• Camper Supervision:
  • Assist campers with boarding and exiting the van safely.
  • Ensure all campers are seated and wearing seat belts before departing.
  • Monitor camper behavior during transit, promoting a respectful and calm atmosphere.
• Schedule Adherence:
  • Follow designated routes and schedules, ensuring timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
